Ways to Give and Support

Columbus Dance Theatre is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are able to operate through tax deductible donations made by people and corporations like you, that help to support our programming. Our professional dance company presents cutting edge, inspiring dance and family programming while our school operates on the belief that dance and art education should be available to all children through our “no child turned away” policy. It is also our aim to erase the stigma of boys in dance through our Boy’s Scholarship Program. Your tax deductible donations go directly to our programs and helps us to continue educating and inspiring audiences and children through movement.

Contribute to our Student Scholarship Fund: Through our “no child turned away” policy, CDT contributes an estimated $20,500 per year in scholarships and financial aid to students in both our Young Children’s Division and Intensive Training Program. It is a part of CDT’s mission to make quality dance education accessible to all students wanting to study. Through our “Boy’s Scholarship Program”, CDT aims to erase the stigma of boys in dance and give them the opportunity to express themselves through movement.

Sponsor a show

Our 2023/24 Season, ABLAZE, brings your four incredible shows. Dancers Making Dances, Wonderment, Experiment II, and FIREBIRD, will feature innovative, cutting edge dance works that will leave you inspired and wanting more. Dancers Making Dances collaborates with local visual and musical artists as the company dancers pair with the artists to choreograph a work using their art. Your donation supports these local artists as we provide an honorarium for their work. Wonderment, CDT’s holiday ballet, involves 15 local musicians to play the score, led by Converging Arts Columbus’ Rachel Parfenchuk. Your donation for this incredible, family friendly, Holiday Ballet, helps to produce this performance at the Riffe Davidson Theater. Experiment II, a brand new evening length contemporary ballet work, will premiere April 2024, from the minds of directors, Seth Wilson and Jaime Kotrba. Your support will directly fund new and experimental live music and the ability to hire local musicians. Ending our 23/24 season, CDT will present a brand new adaptation of the ballet, Firebird, set to the classic score of Stravinsky. It will be presented at the Lincoln Theater the first weekend of June 2024. Your donation will support the building of sets, costumes and the production.

As a show sponsor, you will receive show opening night benefits, ad space and features in our marketing and social media platforms.
