**What animal would you be and why?** I would be a koala so I could live in a pouch.

**What is the worst job you’ve ever had?** I’ve not had a bad job!
**What is the first career you dreamed of having as a kid?** I wanted to study rocks and minerals

Rachel Murray

Rachel Murray is excited to return for her fourth season with Columbus Dance Theatre. She began her training with Central Ohio Youth Ballet of Newark, Ohio. Rachel has also attended summer programs with BalletMet. Rachel has a degree in Dance from the University of Saint Francis in partnership with Fort Wayne Ballet, under the direction of Karen Gibbons-Brown. While in Fort Wayne, Rachel had the opportunity to perform in The Nutcracker with the main company and attended their summer intensive for several years. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ohio University.

During her time with CDT, she has had the opportunity to perform in a variety of contemporary works during the Dancers Making Dances, Homegrown, and Experiment 1 and 2 programs. She has also enjoyed performing in full-lengths such as Wonderment, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Alice, and Firebird.

Rachel is excited to continue dancing and working with Columbus Dance Theatre!
