Mackenzie LaFlamme

Mackenzie Laflamme, originally from Columbus, Ohio, is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer. She received her BFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University where she had the opportunity to learn from Francisco Graciano, Adele Nickel, Joshua Manculich and Andrew Noble. During her senior year, Mackenzie had the opportunity to present her senior choreographic capstone Intermittent at the American College Dance Association South-Central Conference and has since restaged her piece on the WyND Dance Program students. She has also presented her choreography at Whirlwind Dance and WyND Dance performances.

Prior to attending college, she received her training from her mentor Tiffany Frost and Columbus Dance Theatre as well as summer programs like Modas Dance and Balletmet. Some of her favorite roles she has performed include Shere Khan in CDT’s The Jungle Book and Death in Matchgirl. Mackenzie recently completed her season with Whirlwind Dance under the direction of Joshua Manculich. She has performed many of his rep works, some of her favorites including The Grey Area, Ride and Confide. She has had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Laura Wade, Jan Erkert, Evelyn Toh, Hanna Bricston and more.
